The AGM-84E SLAM (Standoff Land Attack Missile) is a derivative of the AGM-84 Harpoon antiship missile. The SLAM is designed for the precision strike of land or naval targets at ranges up to 120 nm.rnThe missile substitutes an IIR seeker from the AGM-65D Maverick missile in the nose of the Harpoon air-frame in place of the usual active radar seeker. It uses a modified mid-course guidance unit and incorporates a GPS receiver and an AGM-62 Walleye data link.
