RQ-21 STUAS

Both the Marine Corps and Navy have been leasing the Boeing/Insitu ScanEagle for operations and demonstrations and have also studied other tactical UAVs for various applications as mentioned below. In January 2007, the Navy announced it would begin a formal program to acquire a RQ-21 Small Tactical UAS (STUAS) for both Navy and USMC Tier II requirements with initial deliveries in May 2010.
