This digest provides a compilation of short reports on two categories of air-to-surface missiles: legacy systems which may still be in service but are no longer in production, and future programs which are under discussion but have not yet received enough funding to merit a full report. Armiger (Latin for bodyguard, also Anti-Radiation Missile with Intelligent Guidance and Extended Range) is a German BGT anti-radar missile program aimed at developing a self-defense weapon with a range of 15-20 km. The development program began in 1993 as a joint Franco-German program codenamed Sprint and the missile was subsequently called Aramis until 1997. The concept phase concluded in 1999.
