Leather topcoats with anti-soiling and non-squeak properties

Soiling performance can be significantly improved through the application of a coating system with a different surface morphology, and it is demonstrated that a new water-based polyurethane dispersion with spherical particles can generate this surface. Although this surface is more regular than standard systems, it can also provide a high degree of matting. Together with the appropriate auxiliaries and cross-linkers, this leads to significantly improved results in both soiling and stick-slip tests.
