Combined treatment of 35 cases of fothergill Syndrome by acupuncture and point-injection

In the present paper, 35 cases of fothergill syndrome (prosopalgia) of the treatment group were treated with acupuncture and point-injection of VitB_12, and 30 cases of the control group were treated with oral administration of carbamazepine. Results showed that in the treatment group, 6 cases were markedly effective, 27 effective and 2 ineffective, with an effective rate of 94.29 /100; in the control group, 2 cases were markedly effective, 10 effective and 18 ineffective, with an effective rate of 40.00 /100.
