The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has decided to cap the number of domain names that registrars may refund under the registration "add-grace" period, subject only to limited exceptions.rnICANN's policy arm, the Generic Names Supporting Organization, approved a recommendation by a 19-4 supermajority vote on April 17, which says that registrars must curtail their application of the add-grace period to a maximum of 50 per month, or 10 percent of new registrations per month, whichever is greater. The recommendation was originally proposed by a dedicated "domain tasting" group within ICANN.
