A Japanese court on June 21 delivered a decision upholding Apple Inc's suit for damages against Nippon Samsung KK and Samsung Denshi (Electronics) Japan Inc, concluding that the smartphone touch-screen "bounce back" technology adopted in some Samsung products infringed on Apple's patents (Tokyo District Court, Docket No. Heisei 23 (wa) 27781).
