China Outlines 2014 Plan to Fight Violations of Intellectual Property Rights

Cracking down on internet-based crimes, halting the sale of substandard fuel and improving trade secret protection will be top priorities for China's intellectual property rights (IPR) enforcement in 2014, according to a new plan from China's cabinet that sets goals for the year. Circular Guo Ban Fa [2014] No. 13, "2014 Work Plan for the Nationwide Crackdown on IPR Infringement and the Manufacture and Distribution of Fake and Shoddy Goods", was issued by the State Council's general office on March 29 and published on its website April 14.
