Delhi High Court to Hear Decades-Old 'Financial Times' TM Dispute Case

A decades-long dispute between India's Times Publishing House Ltd and U.K.-based Financial Times Ltd. over who owns the "Financial Times" trademark in India will culminate in an Oct. 24 Delhi High Court hearing on writ petitions in the case. Both companies are appealing, through five writ petitions, the four-and-a-half year-old Intellectual Property Appellate Board order canceling each of their trademarks in the term "Financial Times" for different reasons.
