Gilead Sciences Wins Canadian Ban on Generics of HIV Drugs

Gilead Sciences Inc. has secured a court order blocking Apotex Inc. from producing generic versions of two HIV drugs (Gilead Sciences Inc. v. Minister of Health, Fed. Ct., No. T-1694-14, order made public 10/05/16). The drugs at issue are Viread and the combination drug Truvada, in which Viread is an active ingredient.
