Atlas Copco's centenary of drilling

As Atlas Copco celebrates the centenary of its first documented rock drill, the company has introduced a number of new high-tech models to add to its wide range of drilling solutions. Seen at the recent ConExpo trade fair, the tripod-mounted Atlas No 16, designed and manufactured in 1905, was technically advanced but too heavy for one-man operation, so only 11 machines were made. However, constant innovations over the last 100 years have led to today's selection of wide-ranging drilling solutions.
