Chinese, Japanese and World Bank input to Vietnam

Construction of Vietnam's Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway is due to commence at the end of 2012. Loans for the project are being provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and World Bank. The 130km expressway is expected to cost US$1.35 billion to construct and is expected to be open for traffic in 2016. Meanwhile official approval has been given by the Chinese authorities for a new bridge that will link China with Vietnam. The majority of the funds required for the bridge project will be provided by China, which is giving $35 million of the $40 million needed for the work.
