On the Differential Behaviour of National and Multinational Firms: A Within- and Across-sectors Approach

This paper uses a CGE model to analyse the differential responses in production, labour demand and prices of national firms and MNEs within the 20 sectors in which the Czech economy has been split. We replicate the arrival of MNEs in five different sectors of this host economy, in turn, and look at the process of adjustment in the short run. The sectors are chemicals, electronics, motor vehicles, trade and finance.
