The Direct Contribution of FDI to Productivity Growth in Britain, 1997-2008

摘要

This paper shows the direct contribution of foreign-owned plants and firms to aggregate TFP growth in Great Britain for 1997-2008 using data from the ARD. The contribution of sub-groups is further decomposed to show whether it is made through TFP improvements in continuing plants or through reallocations in output shares. TFP is calculated using system GMM estimation.
