COLONEL JEANPIERRE PARKING LOT IN AIX-EN-PROVENCE: THE PARKING LOT TAKES SHAPE

The Colonel Jeanpierre parking lot project is closely linked to the Aix-en-Provence BHNS Bus Line B project. It therefore includes construction of the 600-space park-and-ride facility, road and landscape renovation of the current roundabout area, and adjacent preparatory works facilitating the integration of reserved right-of-way transport (shifting the foot bridge, calming the traffic, separating pedestrian and motorist flows, etc.). This project makes use of all specialist infrastructure activities (geotechnics, civil engineering, roads and main services, appurtenances, hydraulics, transport, architecture, landscaping) and required substantial spatio-temporal organisation to coordinate the various interdependent technical work packages and finally put into operation the BHNS Bus service.
