The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) is an integrated sales, marketing and innovation company, responsible for the export of NZ$105 million (US$ 77 million) of fibre annually - 80% of the New Zealand Merino clip and 50% of the New Zealand mid-micron clip by value. Through its branding and marketing activities, approximately 51% of volumes transacted annually are through direct supply contracts, which offer growers price stability above historic average commodity prices, brand partners, fair and sustainable pricing, consistency of supply in terms of both quantity and quality, fit-for-processing consignments, and a direct connection with growers.
