There have been few more inspirational events in the global textiles industry this year than the inaugural International Mohair Summit, which took place in the heart of South Africa's mohair production area, in the towns of Jansenville and Graaff-Reinet in the Karoo region of South Africa's Eastern Cape, from November 3-6. Around 450 delegates, including designers, retailers, buyers, weavers, knitters, spinners, processors, growers and media from across the world, came together to discuss the challenges, applications and future of one of the world's most luxurious, versatile and least understood fibres.
