Style award for Harris Tweed Hebrides

Harris Tweed Hebrides has been awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Style for 2009 at the Scottish Style Awards, which took place in Glasgow on October 31. The award recognised the Shawbost-based fabric company's role in revitalising the Harris Tweed industry and its success in forging links with leading designers. Earlier this year, Harris Tweed Hebrides was named Textile Brand of the Year at the Scottish Fashion Awards. Creative director Mark Hogarth, who has led the company's collaborations with designers, and two young members of the Harris Tweed Hebrides management team - Kelly Jenkins and Alison Mackenzie, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
