Recently honoured with an award for its technical expertise, Nikke has launched its latest wool creation to the European market, offering superior quality combined with full traceability along the production chain. Our new Japan correspondent Michiharu Nagamatsu reports. Nikke, the Japan Wool Textile Co, has continually strived to push the boundaries of what can be achieved with the wool fibre throughout its 114-year history. Its considerable efforts were recognised at Premiere Vision (September 14-16), when the company was awarded the inaugural Special Woolmark Prize 2010 for the 100% wool cavalry twill fabric reproduced from its vintage collection with a novel finishing treatment.
