Wakako Kishimoto and partner Mark Eley, who together make up the London-based ultra-cool global fashion and design company Eley Kishimoto, have done a remarkable thing in spreading design across disparate areas of contemporary life. In their own collections, via eclectic, emporium-style US-based retailer Anthropologie, and in collections for other companies, designers and brands, they work with unlikely sounding clients such as automotive giants, charities, technology companies, high street chains, online fashion site ASOS, and modern architects, as well as high-profile design labels. Known as the patron saints of print', their influence is strong throughout but sometimes goes unrecognised.
