The 18th British Wool Sale of the 2009/10 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House on April 15 and offered 1,421,199 kg. With demand continuing to outstrip supply the market continued to soar to new levels. This produced a 100% clearance. Compared to the last time sold: Pick and Supers were 8% dearer; Halfbreds were 4-7% dearer; Crosses were 8-12% dearer; Cheviots were up to 20% dearer; Radnors were 3-8% dearer; Welsh were 4-10% dearer; Swaledale were 13% dearer; and Blackface were 5-10% dearer.
