Botto Fila CEO Alberto Bertoni has become the sole shareholder of the Biella-based fabric company, assuming complete control of the business. Bertoni joined Botto Fila in 2007 from Loro Piana, the Italian luxury goods brand and textiles business, where he worked for over 30 years, rising to the position of director general of the Loro Piana textile division. Botto Fila has a forecasted turnover for 2011 of approximately €25 million, up 25% from 2010, and it is hoped that resources generated from the recapitalisation project will accelerate growth.
