The 2010/11 season, which finished on June 8, has been one of the best for the South African wool industry in decades, according to a recent review published by Cape Wools. The Cape Wools Merino indicator closed at R97.29 cents/kg (clean wool) - its highest level since the late 1980s -and 68% up from the opening level.
