Approximately 500 delegates from around the globe travelled to take part in the Nanjing Wool Market Conference in September. Amongst the Chinese contingent, poor international and domestic demand remained a concern, with some describing current conditions as more challenging than in 2008. Other Chinese delegates queried the current prices, questioning Australian representatives on the cost of production.
