Bangladesh eyes $20bn garment exports

Bangladesh, the world's second largest garment exporter, is hoping for a new wave of business in 2013, despite turbulent economic times in parts of the world, according to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA). The country was declared by the World Trade Organisation as the second largest RMG (readymade garment) exporter after China in 2010/11 when its exports grew 43.36% year-on-year to $15.66 billion.
