Natural fibres are continuing to find new opportunities in the booming sports and outdoor wear market, and in this issue of Twist we take a look at some of the latest developments (see pages 30-36). According to a recent report by Morgan Stanley Research titled 'Global Athletic Wear: Very Bullish Five-Year Outlook,' sports apparel and footwear sales have grown by 42% to US$270 billion over the past seven years. And the reports suggests that in the coming years, the global sports and active wear trend will continue to grow.
