Creating a circular economy for cashmere

Cashmere has long been a staple luxury fashion item and, if well maintained, can last for years. In the age of fast fashion, this concept of longevity has been somewhat neglected, which is why a growing number of textile and fashion companies are shifting the focus away from a linear model of resource consumption to a circular one of restoring the garments that we already have. New to the market is Cashmere Circle, whose aim is to repair and recycle cashmere garments while boosting knitwear skills and jobs in the Scottish Borders.
