Earlier this year, on 17 March, Textile Exchange announced the official launch of the Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS), a new tool designed to allow the industry to easily recognise mohair farmers using best practices.As with the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), the goal is to ensure that the fibre is produced at farms which have a progressive approach to managing their land, practice holistic respect for animal welfare, and respect the Five Freedoms of animal welfare.
