HFW's sales in China growing by 30%

Huddersfield Fine Worsteds (HFW) is continuing to expand rapidly in the Chinese market as it benefits from the growing demand for made-to-measure (MTM) tailoring in the country. The luxury fabric company was exhibiting in the Premium Wool Zone at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics on 27-29 September. Bob McAuley, the HFW president, revealed to Twist that the company's sales in China grew by 30% last year, with similar growth expected for 2018. "We are getting bigger and more established customers in China now," he said, adding that the company is benefiting from having two distributors in the country. In 2017 HFW began using a second distributor in China. Based in Beijing, it has sales staff across the country.
