The article on varnishing (Getting Started in Boats, WB No. 229) was very nicely and clearly written for the average reader. One trick that makes the varnish look "bright," especially interior finishes, is to buff it with a brown paper bag from the grocery store. Fold it up into a pad and then rub over the varnish lightly.
