The Old Fishermen and the Tancooks

The schooner rig is endlessly fascinating, and it has dozens of mutations and types. The Tancook Island style is a very local one, and not much copied outside of Nova Scotia, though it should be because it works so well. It is distinctly different from the well-known fisherman type that once was carried on Banks fishing schooners.
