Interesting news comes from AT&T as they enable international Wi-Fi calling with iOS 9.3. This means that all U.S. owners of an account with that mobile provider, can now freely call internationally over WiFi and scratch dose nagging int call expenses. This is a further upgrade over the domestic calls enabled on WiFi for AT&T customers that was rolled out earlier last year. While negating international cost fees is the foremost aspect, it also helps with areas where cellular service is rather poor. While supported in many countries, the feature is currently restricted in China, Cuba, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. This comes as a no surprise, as all of these countries have specific political/ economic aspects that aren't up to telecom's needs.
