For our ongoing Icons series, senior writer Steven Levy interviewed Tim O'Reilly, founder of O'Reilly Media and "free-range proselytizer of the tech revolution" ("The Seer," issue 21.01). A couple of readers were amused by O'Reilly's choice of attire in the photo accompanying the article. "Hehe... a pinstripe hoodie?" asked Charles Tryon. Added Nathalie Fay, "Why have you forced him to look like a CGI/ Final Fantasy movie character?" (According to photo editor Kris-ten Fortier, O'Reilly chose his own outfit. "I brought some clothing options to the shoot, but his worked great for the portrait.") More troubling for some readers was O'Reilly's contention that he doesn't "really give a shit if literary novels go away.
