The reprinted article in this issue (page 26) by Wilbert A. Lucht is engaging reading for anyone connected with our industry. For the maintenance people, it is to be studied, researched, and applied to their endeavors—for they will be harshly judged if lacking in this information. Reeving failures are still a leading cause of accidents in our trade. They were thirty years before Mr. Lucht wrote this article, and now about thirty years later—the matter still concerns. I guess some can't learn from the past! However, some have.
