Sinovel plans Brazilian factory

Indian turbine manufacturer Sinovel has signed a contract with Brazilian renewable-power-generating company Desenvix to supply 231.5MW wind turbines.The SL1500/82 machines will be installed in the 34.5MW Barra dos Coqueiros wind farm in Sergipe, which is being developing by Desenvix, a subsidiary of the Engevix engineering group. Sinovel has also decided to build a manufacturing facility in Brazil and is currently investigating potential sites.
