The LumenRay XVP is lighting for harsh environments that has been developed at the request of the Cook County Correctional facility to provide a vandal-proof lighting that would withstand maltreatment from prison inmates.Designed to withstand maximum abuse, the lamp also combines LED technology to provide a brighter light while consuming less energy, with each unit consuming about 40 W and providing longer life.The lamp is all about rug-gedness being engineered from aircraft-grade extruded aluminium and combined with an impact-resistant, polycarbonate lens that has 250 times the impact strength of glass.
