And senior management at construction firms are now at greater risk of criminal prosecution if an employee dies at work. Sally Nash reports. UK CONSTRUCTION firms responsible for work deaths, which have previously escaped prosecution, could now face a criminal record and unlimited fines if they do not strengthen their health and safety strategies.
