In December 2007, each water company- published a Strategic Direttion Statement (SDS). These documents, differing in size but totalling more than 800 pages, provide a fascinating insight into the key strategic issues facing the water industry over the next 25 years. It may be difficult for some manufacturers, contractors, distributors and other members of the water industry supply chain to get to grips with these weighty tomes.
