NAME: Paul Bresnan, JOB TITLE: Operations director COMPANY: Imtech Process CAREER SO FAR: Joining Imtech from Birse Nuclear, a Balfour Beatty company, Paul brought with him more than 25 years of main contractor experience in EPC contracts within the UK utilities market. He has worked within the M&E and civil side of the business and understands the pressures and constraints that affect both areas, and what is needed for successful delivery. What was your first job? My first "proper" job was as a project engineer for Mowlem Engineering, where my starting salary was a grand annual total of £7,500.What do you like/hate most about your current job? In my role, no two days are the same and that keeps things very interesting. I enjoy the diversity of the job and meeting challenging targets, along with working with lots of different people. In the main, the locations of our projects means that public transport is not really a viable option. I am therefore finding myself having to do lots of travelling by car.
