Chroma ups efficiency

As part of an initiative to improve process efficiency at its sewage treatment works in Newthorpe, Nottinghamshire, Severn Trent Water has installed a Chroma progressing cavity (PC) pump from framework supplier NOV Mono to pump digested sludge to the site's centrifuges for thickening. This major water supplier had been experiencing problems with the reliability of its previous pump gearboxes which were causing significant downtime at the plant and de-ragging the pump-was also problematic due to the small access port which provided limited access.
