AG Barr Posts Steady Results

UK soft drinks producer AG Barr has again posted steady resultsnfor its latest fiscal year, with sales up by 6.6% to GBP237mn, netnprofits up by 25% to GBP28mn and operating profits up by 12% tonGBP35mn. This strong sales growth represents the continuation of anlong running pattern, with the firm having been boosted by growingndistribution for its portfolio of carbonated and juice brands. Investorsnhave come to expect this level of performance and the firm'snshare price has traded slightly downwards over the past few quartersn(see chart). This is partly due to concerns over the impact of commoditynprices, in particular sugar and PET plastic, and also signsnthat the firm's growth rate is not going to accelerate further.
