The City of Susanville is recruiting for the position of Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial accounting best practices. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage staff and optimize accounting functions using 21~(st) century accounting systems. Employee will supervise clerical and technical staff and will be responsible for directing accounting functions for the City. Graduation from accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting or equivalent field is required with a CPA Certification preferred. A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in governmental accounting is preferred, with at least three years of supervisory experience. Annual salary starting at $60,114 DOQ with service and merit increases up to $80,559 plus excellent benefit package.
