摘要

The problems in defining workpiece resistance from the viewpoint of physical and measurement technology are explained. For the almost indeterminable workpiece resistances substitute variables are introduced and discussed. These special workpiece resistances are nonlinear dynamic resistances. Formulated relationships are given for the workpiece resistances associated with the special current-voltage characteristics. Compared with characteristic representations these workpiece resistances contain fewer data on the process run. An evaluation of the safety and reliability of resistance pressure-welded components and structures through workpiece resistances under comparative conditions according to DIN 55350 is only possible on the basis of a previously agreed uniform definition of the workpiece resistance.
