Plastics welding - Part 2: Industrial series production

摘要

After the skilled manual processes for plastics welding were presented in a preceding Part 1, the processes suitable for series welding are described in Part 2. These include heated-tool butt welding, friction and vibration welding as well as the frequently used ultrasonic welding. In addition, increasing importance is being attached to the laser-beam welding of plastics. It is proving to be particularly suitable for microsystems technology.
