1 The examined process of elastic-plastic deformation of the welded structure based on the model of the bistable active element using as an example the welded section of a four-axle gondola car is in agreement with the considerations of synergetics regarding the qualitative processes of self-organisation of non-equilibrium dissipative systems. 2 The derived analytical and graphic dependences can be used to determine the quantitative relationships reflecting the kinetics of the time dependence of information entropy and the rate of its increase, for different loading conditions of the local zone of stress concentration.
