EAPS AND ESSA CONGRATULATE THEIR GRA-DUATES AND PREPARE FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR WITH CONFIDENCE

The 24th course students from the Ecole d'Adaptation aux Professions du Soudage (EAPS) and the 78th course students from the Ecole Superieure du Soudage et de ses Applications (ESSA) were convened to the graduation ceremony on 24th June 2009, in the large lecture theatre at Centre Mecanica de Yutz (Moselle). More than 120 people were present. Fifteen ESSA and IWE engineer's diplomas, four ESSA certificates and thirty-nine EAPS diplomas were awarded. In the context of the partnership with the Centre Technique des Industries Mecaniques et Electriques (CETIME) in Tunis, a Tunisian technician successfully completed his year's training at Yutz. Prizes and medals rewarded the distinctions awarded to certain students. Thus Jean-Michel Vigo from the Office Technique pour l'Utilisation de l'Acier (Otua)/ConstruirAcier, presented prizes to Arnaud Peschier and Farid Hamidi for their water tower project. The Andre Leroy medal was presented to Alexis Ferrari, top of the class at ESSA and the Albert Portevin medal, was presented to Christophe Legrand for his results in metallurgy. Alexis Ferrari and Francois Martine, top of the class at EAPS, were each awarded a distinction.
