HOW THE TIGER ELVE Got Its Stripes

The article offers information on lights in the night sky called tiger elves. It presents new terms and vocabulary about the weather and a story about ignorosphere. The role of thunderstorms in the occurrence of tiger elves is discussed, as well as the burning of incoming meteors in the mesosphere. A synopsis of various transient luminous events (TLEs) is also provided.
