If you'd like to make the crossing yourself, there are two challenges to tackle: organisational and practical.rnWe would strongly recommend that, if possible, you make passage as part of a convoy, including boaters with tidal expertise and ideally some who have made the passage before. We found that the convoy was reassuring and enjoyable in itself. If you would like to organise such a convoy, WW will be pleased to publicise it. The organisers of June's convoy are currently preparing notes for prospective Mersey boaters, which we will report in WW when published.
