The Thames - Reading to Teddington lock

This new Thames DVD joins companion programmes The Thames above Reading and The Tidal Thames, it covers 54 miles of the Royal River, passing such historic landmarks as Windsor Castle, Eton College, Henley and Hampton Court Palace. The starting point, Reading, is associated with biscuit-makers Huntley & Palmer which closed in 1970, as well as Oscar Wilde who wrote The Ballard of Reading Coal while incarcerated therein. The commentator remarks on the immaculate properties of the Middle Thames as "out of this world".
