National Maritime Museum hosts 'Royal River' Thames exhibition

The National Maritime Museum has announced one of the largest special exhibitions in its history in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond jubilee. Called 'Royal River! and devoted to the Thames, the exhibition will bring together the oldest known copy of Handel's Water Music, Bazalgette's original contract drawings for the construction of the Thames embankment, Anne Boleyns personal music book, a remarkable collection of paintings by Canaletto, and a stuffed swan, along with hundreds of objects from lenders across Europe and the National Maritime Museum's own pre-eminent collections, alt to illustrate the royal history of London's great river.
